How much does a Business Coach cost?
It is difficult to talk about the pricing for business coaching programs because the way different business coaches structure their sessions and the price tags vary from end to end. Although the International Coach Federation has conducted a Global study on the average business coaching rates, the prices depend on the annual income of the business coaches.
The prices are not necessarily reflected in the years of experience of a coach or in the cost of living in which he works. And it’s like apples and oranges when you compare individual coaching with group coaching or career coaching with technical coaching.
This makes it difficult even for the International Federation of Coaches to talk about the average business coaching rates and the number of coaching sessions, as many factors influence the pricing of business coaches.
Business Coaching in my Alternative Reality
I have talked a lot throughout my career about my history with business coaching, or rather about my absence.
In short, when I look back on my life, there have been countless moments when I can find out where a business coach would have helped me to completely change my trajectory and lead me to success faster and further.
Young Overworked Professional
I look back at my 24, completely overwhelmed by a new promotion, sinking into a deep hole of responsibility, which I did not know how to master.
The help of a business coach would have saved me a lot of emotional and physical stress. It might have helped me to achieve an even higher promotion if I had been able to effectively manage the company’s policies, fix my weaknesses and act accordingly.
Untrained guide
Years later, I got a job as a director. In addition to my usual professional responsibilities, I had to acquire completely new ability to lead a great team. I did it well-I got it. But I often think about how I could have done it better!
It is no coincidence that half of the CEOs are fired instead of resigning by mutual agreement. Anyway, what could have turned the tables—from failure to success? Most new managers need help and guidance to fulfill their new tasks—that’s what executive coaches are there for.
An Unexplored Road
The most lonely, confusing and disturbing moment in my work was when I denounced injustice in the workplace and suffered reprisals from superiors.
Things did not go as I had planned, and my professional career was clouded by self-doubt and panic. I do not contrition my actions, but I needed help in solving the question, “Where do I go from here?”. I wish I had contacted a business coach for help in finding the right path for the next steps in my career.
